Write about what you are thankful for.

Prompt Response: I am thankful for my mom and grandma. They have sacrificed so much for me and taught me a lot. I wouldn't be where I am now without them. They always have my back even when I'm in the wrong or we are not on the same page. Summary and Reflection: I was absent today

Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

Prompt Response: A truth I was afraid to accept is that I wasn't good at track anymore after Covid. Track was my first love, I have been running since I was 7. Ever since I started I've loved and been very good at it. I made it to state every year, been to many different states, and was posted on YouTube a few times. Once Covi hit a lot of things happened and one thing was that I began comfort eating. That caused me to gain a lot of weight and once I started back I just wasn't the same anymore. Summary and Reflection: I wasn't in class.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

Prompt Response: An adventure I would like to go on is going into space. Not many people have that opportunity and experience. I want to know what it feels like to be in a actual different atmosphere and the way they function.  Summary and Reflection: I wasn't in class today

Describe something you will never fully understand.

Prompt Response: Something I will never fully understand is how God came about. Everything in existence was created, so how was God? People I heard from just say he just appeared and you don't ask questions about it. Others say you just have faith and leave it at that. What does faith have to do with it though? Summary: We read another poem and analyzed it then talked as a class. Reflection: I learned that you should analyze a poem while you read it if it is long instead of reading then analyzing it.

11/15 Write about something that you wish you had more of.

Prompt Response:  I wish I had more money. Money is everything in life. Some people don't think so but I do because what can you really do without it. I know you can't take it when you die but what can you take with you when you die? Nothing so that saying doesn't really matter. Summary and Reflection: I wasn't here that day.

11/13 Describe when you had a moment of unexpected kindness.

Prompt Response: A time I had a moment of unexpected kindness was when I went to my driver's ed class. everyone was quiet and to themselves. My stomach was growing during the class. During our break this one girl came up to me and offered me some snacks and said I was very pretty. I said thank you and we had a conversation and then followed each other on Instagram. Summary: We read a poem called "Nothing Gold Can Stay". Reflection: I learned that everything doesn't always last so cherish things while you can.

11/12 Write about a feeling that took you by surprise.

Prompt Response: A feeling that took me by surprise was when I tried a contraction simulator. I was at my cousin's baby shower 3 years ago and they had different games. One of the games was mainly for adults but my mom let me try it. They put two patches on my stomach and had a device. The device had 4 modes and they put it on modes one and two for me. Once I got to mode two I felt weird so they stopped. Summary and Reflection: I wasn't here that day.

11/11 A time I felt completely lost

Prompt Response: I felt completely lost in my advanced algebra class. We were learning a new subject, and she said we should know the first part of it. We didn't, so we asked for help, but she just gave us small hints and insisted that we knew it. Summary: We did some new vocabulary words. Reflection: I learned that elixir is a magical or medicinal potion.

Newsela

Today we did a Newsela on Shoes. It was about how to recycle, resell, and keep them clean. After we read the article and answered the questions throughout the article we had to answer more questions and a written response.

Ambush

We read a story Named Ambush. We talked about the author and a brief story summary before we read. It was about a man who was in a war and his young daughter asked him if he had killed someone before. He lied and told her no because she wouldn't understand why just yet. He then explained the story of how he murdered the man and believed he was wrong for it. After that we started on our questions and that's all.
