Prompt Response: A song that brings back a specific memory is "While Were Young" by Jhene Aiko. The memory it brings me is about all of my relationships with boys and how young we really are. It also reminds me of how I wish we could just do our own thing away from everyone but we are still young and learning.

Poem about a heartbreak

 Today we read a poem about heartbreak as a class. The poem was called "Heart! We will forget him!" by Emily Dickinson. We took some notes, wrote definitions throughout the poem, and did a short activity with a heart. One side was for the mind and the other for the heart. We also thought of a few themes for the poem, one of the themes I put was that you should listen to your mind over your heart. For the activity we also drew pictures, colors, and words from the text.

Vocab 2

 Today we got a new list of vocabulary. I think the test is next week, I can't remember. Today we just had to write the definitions and a sentence for each word. We also had to fill in the blank with all the words. It was easy and I thought I couldn't finish it in class but I did with extra time left over.
