Write about a time when your failure was necessary for your growth. Examples of failures could be failing a major exam, failure to make a team, failure in a relationship, etc.

  Prompt Response: A time failure was necessary for my growth was when I made steak for the first time. I feel like any time you mess up with cooking or baking the mistake will tell you how it happened. For instance if a cake has a pudge in the middle than you opened the oven while it was in the middle of baking. Summary and Reflection: I was absent.

We discussed achieving your dream. Think of someone who has already achieved a similar dream. What lessons can you learn from their journey?

  Prompt Response:  I can learn from my culinary teacher Ms.Jackson that you can be successful in culinary and still do something military based. Ms.Jackson was the one who encouraged me to do both. I love cooking aka culinary and I like the benefits of the military life. Summary: We read a poem and did a paper about our dreams  Reflection: I learned that at this age nothing is impossible.

  Prompt Response:   The term  mendacious  is an adjective used to describe someone who is dishonest or prone to lying, or something that is false or untrue. It originates from the Latin word  mendax , meaning "lying". I t characterizes individuals who habitually tell lies or statements that are intentionally misleading. For example, a mendacious person might fabricate stories to deceive others, and a mendacious report would contain false information. Synonyms for mendacious are "lying," "untruthful," "dishonest," and "deceitful.” Summary and Reflection: I was not here today.

Which time do you perfer the most and why, Daylight Savings Time or Standard Time?

  Prompt Response:  Standard time because I like it when the sun stays out longer. Long days, short nights. I get more done and i get to do more. Have more free time on my hands because the sun doesn’t go down till around 7:30. Summary and Reflection: I was absent that day.

Who is the best cook in your family? Describe a meal that person has cooked for you.

Prompt Response:  The best cook in my family is my grandma. In my opinion her food is so good. It doesn’t get any better than hers. I don’t like cheese at all but I love her macaroni and cheese. That’s my favorite food ever. Summary: We did the illumate testing. Reflection: I leaned new vocabulary words from the passage on the test.

What is the most disgusting food you have ever had? Tell what it is, what was the occaison, and why it was not so good.

  Prompt Response:  The most disgusting food I ever had was chitins. Thinking about it makes me sick. My auntie was making some for Christmas and insisted I try it. So i did and spit it out so fast and started gaging. I am super picky when it comes to food and now I always smell my food before I eat it. If it looks bad i'm not going to touch it and if it smells bad i'm not eating it. Summary: We did part of illuminate testing and finished our mask and cultural assignment. Reflection: I learned that everyone eats differently for the same holidays we celebrate.

As we think about Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Prompt Response:   My favorite word is literally. I literally love the word literally. It emphasizes everything and I feel like people feel my message more when I type literally in a sentence. I used to use it like everyday in everything I typed or wrote but now i use it occasionally. Summary: We did a vocabulary lesson on paper. Reflection: I learned that languid means to be sluggish.

How important is it for you to retain your cultural foods as you move forward in life? Explain the importance and which foods you cannot live without.

  Prompt Response: It is important that I retain my cultural foods as i move forward in life so I can pass things on to my future kids. Also if you want to introduce your cultural foods to others you can and have a meaning behind it.  Summary: We made a powerpoint on cultural foods. Reflection: I learned that every food is connected to something.
