Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

Prompt Response: I have always wondered why people with no teeth knaw at their gums. I would think that would hurt, your jaws will eventually hurt, and eating would hurt. Maybe not though. Maybe they do that to keep all of those things from happening. Summary: We did makeup work or another class. Reflection: I did my assignment from yesterday.

Write about your most special holiday memory.

Prompt Response: My most special holiday memory was when my dad came over on Christmas and surprised me with all my cousins there. We all played together and ate food.  Summary: We read chapters 8-10 and did the discussion questions. Reflection: I read that Jefferson starts to hate Grant.

Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt Response: The best gift I received was when my dad got me an apple watch. It wasn't the best gift because it was an apple watch. It was the best gift because it was from my dad. Summary & Reflection: I wasn't here today.

Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.

Prompt Response: A song that brings back a specific memory is "While Were Young" by Jhene Aiko. The memory it brings me is about all of my relationships with boys and how young we really are. It also reminds me of how I wish we could just do our own thing away from everyone but we are still young and learning.  Summary: We worked on your presentation in class. Reflection: I learned how to use the app better and make my presentation better.

Write about something that you believed as a child.

Prompt Response: As a child, I believed that Santa was real. That belief was ruined one Christmas when my cousin told me. After they told me I looked it up and found out it wasn't real. Summary: We worked on the project. Reflection: Im almost done with everything.

Describe a time you couldn’t stop laughing.

Prompt Response: A time I couldn´t stop laughing was when I was at a sleepover with my friends. We were making tiktoks and one of my friends had fallen. Everyone started laughing when she tried to play it off. Summary: We worked on the project. Reflection: Im almost done with everything.

Write about a fear you have overcome.

Prompt Response: A fear I overcame was the fear of heights. I feel like I was born with this fear and it just got worse. But then, during my spring break in 8th grade, I was going to Mexico and we had to go on the plane and I was terrified. Before we got on the plane I took a deep breath and stepped in the plane. Then it was takeoff time and the scariest moment of my life. As the ride continued I started looking out the window more and more and it was beautiful. That is how I overcame my fear of heights. Summary: We worked on your presentation in class. Reflection: I learned how to use the app better and make my presentation better.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.

Prompt Response: I can't stop thinking about my ex because he is the love of my life. When we are apart I feel a part of me was missing. It's destined for us to be married and have 2 kids in the next 8 years with a nice house. Summary and Reflection: I wasn´t here that day

Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

Prompt Response: A time I was judged unfairly was when I was in ROTC and an upperclassman took 10 points off for my nails and did not take points off for another cadet. I felt that this was unfair just because I am an underclassman does not mean I should be treated differently. To solve this problem, I went to Sargent and talked about this situation; he helped me fix my grade and spoke to the upperclassman. Summary: We began a new novel that talks about injustice. Reflection: I learned that blacks were treated unfairly during crime sentences.

Write about a conversation that changed you.

Prompt Response: A conversation that changed me was when I talked to my dad for the first time in years. I realized he was a different person and not really even my dad. He hasn't been in my life so how can he be a parent and not parenting. He says it's because he is in prison but he can still cal like he calls his side of the family. Summary: We did vocabulary words with synonyms and antonyms and did a fill in the blank with them. Reflection: I learned that ferret means finding and bringing to light by searching, not just the animal ferret.
