 Today in class we studied for our vocabulary test on Tuesday. We had to do some things in a notebook along with a sentence to go with the words. I think I understand the vocabulary words pretty well from doing this exercise and the other assignment we had on Monday. Also, I already knew some of the words. I luckily finished all my work in class today and submitted it online. The class environment was quiet and chill as usual.

 

 Today we read a poem about heartbreak as a class. The poem was called "Heart! We will forget him!" by Emily Dickinson. We took some notes, wrote definitions throughout the poem, and did a short activity with a heart. One side was for the mind and the other for the heart. We also thought of a few themes for the poem, one of the themes I put was that you should listen to your mind over your heart. For the activity we also drew pictures, colors, and words from the text.

 We did a group project on this story called The Jealous Father. The story was about a Dad who thought his son was messing with his mom so he took him to an island and abandoned him. His son found a way back but it was challenging. For the group project, we had to do the Cultural Context of the story. In my opinion, the story was very weird and confusing at first but I understood it better once I reread it. After that we but all of our information in google slides. My part was to make the slides and to summerize everyone's information.

 Today I read an article about a woman who was sick. They dug a hole for her in the ground and she and a tree fell through it into a lake. The swans saw her a refused to let her drown because of her beauty. They saved her and went to the meeting the great turtle called for. The turtle asked the animals to go find where she fell and bring back Earth. As the animals did many died, but one old toad came back and right before she died she spat the dirt on the turtles back.
