What is the most important aspect of your identiy? Tell what it is and why.

  Prompt Response: The most important aspect of my identity is my face. I love my face so much. I feel like your face is what really makes you, you. We all have different body types but we all share a category.  Summary: We read a poem and made a mask on our identity and cultural background. Reflection:  I learned that your culture most likely comes from your ethnicity.

How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

  Prompt Response:  If my privacy was invaded on my phone I would be livid. My phone is my most prized possession. If someone went through every i have ever owned, that’s what it feels like. I do think privacy is a basic civil liberty because why should people be able to go through it if it’s private. Summary: We read a poem and answered some questions on paper. Reflection: I learned that liberty and freedom are two different things.

Describe what you did over the winter break (use at least 5 words from Vocabulary Lesson 10 in your paragraph)

  Prompt Response:  Over the break things were chill for me. I went to church on Sunday and learned about prayer. One thing in prayer that you have to do is being importune with what you want. It is imperative that you take time to listen to God quietly in prayer. Remember anything that you feel is immutable pray to God about it and confess. You cannot receive what you pray for if you are idolatry. That is ignoble. Summary: We did a comic strip on our new vocabulary words. Reflection: I learned that another word for barrier is impediment.

Describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about.

  Prompt Response:  My idea of a perfect day I spent with someone I care about is us just being at home. We’re eating, laying together, making tiktoks, and enjoying eacothers company. I eventually get bored in the house so we go for a walk together and then he goes home. Summary and Reflection:  I was absent that day

What is your American Dream? What do you like most about America?

  Prompt Response:  My American Dream is everyone being financially stable and getting the same amount of money. It’s not fair that we live in the same place and people are in poverty and homeless while others are being unhumbled and having more than others. Summary: We read a poem and made 10 sentences  Reflection: I learned that not everything is equal.

Describe a time when someone offended you with their words.

Prompt Response:  A tine someone offended me with their words was when someone called me ugly. To me I never saw myself as ugly nor the people around me. Growing up and now nobody calls me ugly. So it was a surprise to me and made me feel bad about myself. Summary: We read a poem and then made 10 sentences from it. Reflection:  I learned that a word is offensive if someone says it is.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

  Prompt Response: A life skill that I learned in high school that i think would help me live independently after high school is to save money. Always save! You never know when you may need it. Also save for things like land and cars. Summary: We did a News ELA. Reflection: I learned about the Bill of Rights.

What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

  Prompt Response: I don't think I have any strengths as a speaker. At least on in public. When I speak with people i’m comfortable with I express my body language well and i use a higher level of vocabulary. The challenges I face with presenting is eye contact, slurring up my words, and saying um a lot. Summary: We presented our projects in class today and did our blog. Reflection: I learned that it is not easy to present in a class full of students even though you’ve been around them most of them year. You may know of them but you don’t know them.

If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

  Prompt Response:  If I had to write a poem about my life right now i would write about how i’m getting older. Im getting older but i’m not old enough for things. I would also talk about how I'm a teenager and how it is being a teenager in 2025. How i make more of my own decisions and realize I am my own person. Summary: We made a found poem on chapter 29 of a lesson before dying. Reflection: I learned that a found poem is just short phrases or words in the novel that you take out and annotate into a poem.

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

  Prompt Response: A time i had to speak in front of an audience was when I did a presentation about the history of my name in US History class. My fears were that people would make fun of me because I had to put pictures of myself on the presentation. I handled them by not looking at everyone, I just looked down or at the wall straight ahead. The advice I would give to someone struggling with stage fright is to believe in yourself, don’t listen to the negative thoughts, and prepare yourself, and don’t overwhelm yourself. Summary: We did a paper of notes on interactive public speaking. Reflection: I learned that the number one fear is public speaking.
